Position: Technical Writer Levels 1 - 3
Location: Ft. Meade, MD
Clearance: TS/SCI w/ Full-Scope

WILLCOR is looking to hire technical writers. A TS/SCI clearance and an FS poly are mandatory. All work will be done in person. The salaries for the positions depend on your level of experience. 

Level 1 Technical Writer, 2 years of experience and an associate’s degree or 4 years of experience 
Level 2 Technical Writer, 6 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree or 10 years of experience 
Level 3 Technical Writer, 8 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree or 6 years and a master’s degree or 12 years of experience 

The Job Description:

Candidates are responsible for the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of technical documents including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation. Candidates will write and edit technical documentation for all of the project’s hardware and software to include installation, configuration and how-to documentation. Candidates will create code documentation for software; produce implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities; provide field, data definition, and data flow documentation, and will format technical publications from pamphlets, technical drawings, and consultations with technical personnel and other available resources.
