Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Naval Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in the analysis, design, and evaluation of ship hulls and superstructures, ensuring designs meet national and international standards. This role involves leading interdisciplinary teams, overseeing prototype construction, and conducting performance trials to optimize ship functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive analysis of ship hulls and superstructures to ensure optimal design and performance.
- Study design products and specifications to establish fundamental characteristics of ships, including size, weight, speed, and propulsion systems.
- Lead cross-functional teams, coordinating efforts among engineers, designers, and specialists to oversee the construction and testing of prototypes.
- Evaluate ship performance during dock and sea trials, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
- Modify ship designs based on trial results, ensuring all national and international maritime standards are met.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, shipbuilders, and clients, to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, performance assessments, and compliance certifications.
- Stay updated on advancements in naval architecture and incorporate innovative technologies into ship designs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in ship design, hull analysis, or prototype testing.
- Strong knowledge of maritime standards, such as IMO and SOLAS.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Rhino, or similar tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.
